FAQs

It prescribes a parva-day practice combining mantra-japa of a designated sūkta with the auxiliary utterance “kṛṇuṣva” and ājya-homa (ghee oblations) performed in a concentrated state.

It exemplifies the Agni Purāṇa’s practical ritual manual dimension—detailing timing (parva-days), method (japa + homa), and substance (ājyāhuti)—alongside its broader coverage of dharma, worship, and applied religious technologies.

Regular, purified observance on sacred days—supported by mantra and fire-offering—is presented as a means to secure iṣṭa-kāma (desired results) through disciplined, merit-producing ritual action.
