Chapter 347: One-syllable Appellations (एकाक्षराभिधानम्)

ब्रह्मकाद्य ऊरिति ख प्रशान्तःस्यादिति ख धने इति ञ धो धातरि चधूस्तूरे नो वृन्दे सुगते तथा प उपवने विख्यातः फश् च झञ्झानिले मतः

brahmakādya ūriti kha praśāntaḥsyāditi kha dhane iti ña dho dhātari cadhūstūre no vṛnde sugate tathā pa upavane vikhyātaḥ phaś ca jhañjhānile mataḥ

‘ਖ’ ‘ਊਰਿ’ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਨਿਸ਼ਚੇ ਹੀ/ਬਹੁਤ) ਅਤੇ ‘ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਂਤ’ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਵਿੱਚ, ਅਤੇ ‘ਬ੍ਰਹਮਕ’ ਆਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ‘ਞ’ ਧਨ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ‘ਧੋ’ ਧਾਤਾ/ਆਧਾਰਕ (ਧਾਤ੍ਰ) ਲਈ ਹੈ। ‘ਧੂः’ ਚੋਰ ਲਈ। ‘ਨੋ’ ਵ੍ਰਿੰਦ/ਸਮੂਹ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸੁਗਤ’ (ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ) ਲਈ। ‘ਪ’ ਉਪਵਨ (ਬਾਗ) ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹੈ। ‘ਫਸ਼’ ਝੰਝਾਵਾਤੀ ਹਵਾ (ਝঞਝਾਨਿਲ) ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
