FAQs

It imparts Vyākaraṇa-vidyā: a technical mapping of specific indeclinable particles (ā, iḥ, ī, uḥ, ūḥ) to their accepted semantic domains, aiding correct usage and interpretation.

Beyond ritual and theology, the Agni Purana preserves compact grammatical/lexicographic rules—like a mini-nighaṇṭu for particles—showing it functions as a reference manual across disciplines, including Sanskrit linguistics.

By enabling accurate recitation, interpretation, and transmission of śāstric language, it supports dharma-preservation; correct verbal understanding is traditionally viewed as meritorious and protective against interpretive error in sacred contexts.
