परिक्षीणं प्रतिहतं प्रहताग्रतरन्तथा आशानिर्वेदभूयिष्ठमनृतप्राप्तमेव च
parikṣīṇaṃ pratihataṃ prahatāgratarantathā āśānirvedabhūyiṣṭhamanṛtaprāptameva ca
ਉਹ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗੇਵਾਨ ਤਾਕਤ ਵੀ ਟੁੱਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰ ਆਸਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਘੋਰ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਝੂਠਾ ਜਾਂ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾਜਨਕ ਹੀ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
