Raṇadīkṣā (War-Consecration) — Agni Purāṇa Adhyāya 235

अश्वमेधफलं प्रोक्तं शूराणामनिर्वर्तिनां धर्मनिष्ठे जयो राज्ञि योद्धव्याश् च समाः समैः

aśvamedhaphalaṃ proktaṃ śūrāṇāmanirvartināṃ dharmaniṣṭhe jayo rājñi yoddhavyāś ca samāḥ samaiḥ

ਜੋ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟਦੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਸ਼ਵਮੇਧ ਯੱਗ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਫਲ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਧਰਮ-ਨਿਸ਼ਠ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਈ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿਤ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
