FAQs

It provides the canonical name-list of the twelve solar forms (Dvādaśa Bhāskara/Āditya), used for structured remembrance (smaraṇa), recitation, and Surya-upāsanā frameworks often aligned with months or solar transitions.

By cataloguing a standardized theological-astral list, it functions like a reference index for Jyotiṣa-linked devotion—connecting Vedic deity-names (Mitra, Varuṇa, Savitṛ, etc.) with Purāṇic practice and calendrical organization.

Remembering and reciting the twelve solar names is treated as a purifier and stabilizer of dharma—invoking protection, vitality, and orderly conduct through alignment with the Sun as the visible regulator of time and ṛta.
