Concept: Mantra-knowledge becomes efficacious through disciplined yoga and devī-anugraha (protective empowerment), not mere textual acquaintance.
Application: Treat mantra-learning as a staged sādhana: establish protective/armoring rites (kavaca/nyāsa-bhāva), maintain the prescribed threefold discipline (e.g., body–speech–mind or japa–dhyāna–homa as defined by lineage), and learn each mantra with its prastāva (purificatory and contextual preliminaries).

It teaches that mastery of siddhi-giving mantras depends on a defined yogic discipline (a “threefold” method) and on knowing each mantra’s proper preliminaries (prastāva)—i.e., how and when it is to be introduced and applied in ritual practice under Devī’s protection.
It exemplifies the Agni Purana’s practical cataloguing of applied sciences (vidyās) by treating mantra-shāstra not merely as theology but as a technical system: method (yoga), empowerment (Devī-sannaddha), mantra classes (siddhi-dā), and procedural framing (prastāva).
Spiritually, it frames mantra-knowledge as arising from disciplined practice and divine safeguarding; karmically, correct preliminaries and context reduce error in ritual action, aligning practice with dharma and making siddhi a purified, regulated attainment rather than a reckless pursuit.
