FAQs

A śānti-prayoga: a peace-invocation addressed to Agni/Vibhāvasu, framing Agni as the cosmic principle linked to Hiraṇyagarbha and invoked for pacification and auspicious outcomes.

It exemplifies the Purana’s practical ritual layer—compact mantric formulations used for peace (śānti), merit (puṇya), and protection—alongside its many other domains (temple rites, polity, medicine, poetics).

The verse asserts Agni as a giver of ananta-puṇya-phala (endless meritorious results) and seeks śānti, implying purification of obstacles and stabilization of mind and circumstances through devotional invocation.
