FAQs

It gives Ayurvedic-style developmental milestones for an infant—when responsiveness becomes evident and when dentition (including canine teeth) is expected—useful for pediatric assessment.

Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves practical medical knowledge (Ayurveda), here cataloging observable physiological timelines used in traditional healthcare.

Primarily practical rather than ritual: it supports dharmic caregiving by helping guardians recognize normal growth and respond appropriately, aligning household conduct with responsible nurture.
