FAQs

Ayurvedic practical knowledge: a household feed/tonic using aśvagandhā and sesame (including pinyāka oil-cake) aimed at improving a cow’s milk yield, framed as rasāyana (strengthening/rejuvenative nutrition).

It shows the Purana extending beyond theology into applied Ayurveda and animal husbandry—preserving concise, actionable guidance on nutrition and tonics alongside ritual and doctrinal material.

By supporting and nourishing cows—an animal of high religious value—one upholds dharmic household conduct; the instruction links practical care (poshana) with merit through protection and sustenance of a sacred being.
