FAQs

It prescribes the correct method for offering the pūrṇāhuti in a homa: use the ladle, apply the principal (mūla) mantra, and conclude the recitation with “vauṣaṭ,” uttered in a sustained (pluta) and properly intoned voice.

It preserves precise operational details of yajña-technology—tools (śruc), mantra-structure (mūla-mantra, vauṣaṭ-ending), and phonetic discipline (pluta, susvara)—showing the text’s coverage of practical liturgy alongside broader theology and dharma.

Performing the final oblation with correct mantra-ending and accurate tonal prolongation is treated as essential for ritual completeness (pūrṇatā), ensuring the offering is properly “sealed” and efficacious, supporting purification and merit (puṇya) through fault-minimized worship.
