It conveys sarga-vidyā (cosmogonic knowledge): the classification of divine beings (Sādhyas), the role of worship (yajana) in sustaining the deva-order, and the doctrinal motif of Rudra as krodha-sambhava (anger-born emanation).
By preserving a structured genealogy of cosmic entities—Sādhyas, varied bhūtas, Sanatkumāra, and Rudra—it functions like a reference map of Purāṇic cosmology, complementing the text’s other domains (ritual, polity, medicine, and arts).
It frames worship (yajana) as a stabilizing cosmic act and teaches a moral-theological insight: wrath (krodha) can generate powerful forces (Rudra), implying the need to discipline anger while recognizing its transformative potency in the cosmic order.
