It exemplifies how tīrtha-māhātmya passages articulate soteriological outcomes (mokṣa) through place-based rites, a key feature in the transmission of pilgrimage traditions.
Mokṣa-tīrtha is named and placed relative to Ṛṣi-tīrtha (to its south), indicating a localized sacred topography.
The verse presents liberation as an aspirational goal associated with purification practice, emphasizing disciplined engagement with culturally designated sacred spaces.
