अगस्त्य उवाच । विष्णुशर्मेति विख्यातः पुराभूद्ब्राह्मणोत्तमः । वेदवेदांगतत्त्वज्ञो धर्मकर्मसमाश्रितः
agastya uvāca | viṣṇuśarmeti vikhyātaḥ purābhūdbrāhmaṇottamaḥ | vedavedāṃgatattvajño dharmakarmasamāśritaḥ
ଅଗସ୍ତ୍ୟ କହିଲେ—ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ‘ବିଷ୍ଣୁଶର୍ମା’ ନାମରେ ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ଜଣେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ ଥିଲେ। ସେ ବେଦ ଓ ବେଦାଙ୍ଗର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱଜ୍ଞ ଏବଂ ଧର୍ମକର୍ମରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଥିଲେ।
