सूत उवाच । अत्र मे नास्ति संदेहो युष्माकं च पुनः स्थितः । ततो वक्ष्याम्यशेषेण श्रूयतां द्विजसत्तमाः । एतत्क्षेत्रं पुनश्चाद्यं न क्षयं याति कुत्रचित्
sūta uvāca | atra me nāsti saṃdeho yuṣmākaṃ ca punaḥ sthitaḥ | tato vakṣyāmyaśeṣeṇa śrūyatāṃ dvijasattamāḥ | etatkṣetraṃ punaścādyaṃ na kṣayaṃ yāti kutracit
ସୂତ କହିଲେ—ମୋ ପାଖରେ ଏଥିରେ କୌଣସି ସନ୍ଦେହ ନାହିଁ; କିନ୍ତୁ ତୁମମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସେହି ସନ୍ଦେହ ପୁନଃ ଉଦ୍ଭବିଛି। ତେଣୁ ମୁଁ ସମସ୍ତ କଥା ଅଶେଷରେ କହିବି; ହେ ଦ୍ୱିଜଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠମାନେ, ଶୁଣ। ଏହି କ୍ଷେତ୍ର ଆଦ୍ୟ ଓ ନିତ୍ୟ ନୂତନ; ଏହା କେଉଁଠି ମଧ୍ୟ କ୍ଷୟ ପାଉନାହିଁ।
