viśvāmitra uvāca | ārādhaya sahasrāṃśumasminkṣetre mahīpate | tataḥ prāpsyasi saṃsiddhiṃ kuṣṭhanāśasamudbhavām
Viśvāmitra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Bṛhadbala
Scene: Viśvāmitra points toward the sacred field as if revealing an unseen solar presence; the king receives the instruction with renewed hope, sunlight breaking through clouds.
Devotion performed in a sanctified kṣetra magnifies results; worship of Sūrya is taught as a dharmic means for purification and healing.
A particular “kṣetra” within the Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya (contextually tied to the Puṣkara-traya narrative) is presented as especially efficacious for Sūrya worship.
Ārādhana (propitiatory worship) of Sūrya (Sahasrāṃśu) at the kṣetra, aimed at kuṣṭha-nāśa (removal of leprosy).
