Sūta
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and other sages
Scene: A sacrificial arena with Brahmā seated as presiding deity; as he speaks, a procession of Nāgas arrives—some semi-divine with hoods, some in humanized regal form—bearing signs of invitation to the yajña.
Tīrtha-māhātmyas often unfold through yajña and divine assemblies, showing sacred places as meeting-points of cosmic beings and dharma.
The ongoing context is Nāgatīrtha within Nāgarakhaṇḍa’s Tīrthamāhātmya.
No prescription; it notes a yajña context where Nāgas were invited and assembled.
