शंकर उवाच । परितुष्टोऽस्मि ते वत्स ब्रूहि यत्तेऽभिवांछितम् । प्रार्थयस्व प्रयच्छामि यद्यपि स्यात्सुदुर्लभम्

ଶଙ୍କର କହିଲେ—ବତ୍ସ, ମୁଁ ତୁମପରେ ପ୍ରସନ୍ନ। ତୁମର ଅଭିଲାଷ କ’ଣ, କହ। ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କର; ଯଦିଓ ତାହା ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୁର୍ଲଭ, ମୁଁ ଦେବି।
