Lomaśa (continuing narration)
Tirtha: Śrīvṛkṣa (within Kedāra narrative)
Type: kund
Scene: Night scene: the hunter perched on a sacred tree (Śrīvṛkṣa), bow drawn, eyes wide and unblinking; moonlight filters through leaves; below, a boar’s trail is suggested; the mood is tense yet charged with impending spiritual reversal.
Even a vigil undertaken for sin can, in a sacred Śaiva setting, become the doorway to unintended merit.
The Śrīvṛkṣa locale in Kedārakhaṇḍa, connected with a Śiva-liṅga and worship that arises from circumstance.
Implied jāgaraṇa (night-long wakefulness), later reinterpreted as part of Śiva devotion in the narrative.
