Transliteration

niṣaṃge jalamādāya kṣutpipāsārddito bhṛśam | ekadā niśi pāpīyācchrīvṛkṣopari saṃsthitaḥ | kolaṃ haṃtuṃ dhanuṣpāṇirjāgraccānimiṣeṇa hi

Translation

ନିଷଙ୍ଗରେ ଜଳ ନେଇ, ଭୁଖ ଓ ପିପାସାରେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପୀଡିତ ସେ ପାପୀ ଏକ ରାତିରେ ଶ୍ରୀବୃକ୍ଷ ଉପରେ ବସିଲା। ଧନୁଷ ହାତରେ ଧରି ବରାହକୁ ମାରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ପଲକ ନ ଝପକାଇ ଜାଗି ରହିଲା।
