Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced)
Scene: A devotee presents a small bowl of amber-colored resin/essence from sacred trees; Sūrya, sharp-rayed, receives it with calm grace; the offering glows as if catching sunlight.
Offer what is ‘appropriate’ to the deity—devotion includes discernment and reverence for the deity’s preferred substances.
No tīrtha is mentioned; it concerns the substance-offering within Sūrya-pūjā.
Offer a plant-derived essence/juice/resin regarded as dear to Sūrya, with a mantra requesting gracious acceptance.
