हिमवद्धिमकूटांतः खण्डं किंपुरुषं स्मृतम् । हिमाद्रिजलधेरन्तर्नाभि खण्डमिति स्मृतम्
himavaddhimakūṭāṃtaḥ khaṇḍaṃ kiṃpuruṣaṃ smṛtam | himādrijaladherantarnābhi khaṇḍamiti smṛtam
ହିମବତ୍ ଠାରୁ ହେମକୂଟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ‘କିମ୍ପୁରୁଷ’ ଖଣ୍ଡ ବୋଲି ସ୍ମରଣ କରାଯାଏ। ଏବଂ ହିମାଦ୍ରି ଓ ସମୁଦ୍ର ମଧ୍ୟର ଭାଗ ‘ନାଭିଖଣ୍ଡ’ ନାମେ ସ୍ମୃତ।
