ब्रह्माणमाह दैत्यस्तु निर्मृत्युत्वमहं वृणे । ब्रह्मोवाच । न कश्चिच्च विना मृत्युं जंतुरासुर विद्यते
brahmāṇamāha daityastu nirmṛtyutvamahaṃ vṛṇe | brahmovāca | na kaścicca vinā mṛtyuṃ jaṃturāsura vidyate
ଦୈତ୍ୟ ବ୍ରହ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା—“ମୁଁ ଅମୃତ୍ୟୁତ୍ୱ, ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ମୃତ୍ୟୁ-ରହିତତା, ବର ଚାହୁଁଛି।” ବ୍ରହ୍ମା କହିଲେ—“ହେ ଅସୁର, ମୃତ୍ୟୁ ବିନା କୌଣସି ଜୀବ ନାହିଁ।”
