sthitvā trirātraṃ te viprā gamane kṛtabuddhayaḥ | rātrau hanumato'gre ta idamūcuḥ subhaktitaḥ
Narrator (contextual; later explicitly Vyāsa)
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Listener: O King (rājan) implied by vocative in adjacent narration
Scene: Night in a forest shrine: brāhmaṇas with lamps stand before Hanumān, hands folded, faces earnest; the sense of concluding a vow after three nights.
Gratitude and bhakti toward the protector-deity are integral to righteous travel and religious life.
Dharmāraṇya remains the sacred landscape framing the episode.
No explicit rite is prescribed here; the emphasis is on devotional address (prārthanā) to Hanumān.
