nāpavādaparo loko na daridro na rogabhāk | na steyo dyūtakārī ca maireyī pāpino nahi
Narrator (sectional voice; likely a Purāṇic narrator addressing a king)
Scene: An ideal city/kingdom under Rāma: clean streets, content households, no quarrels; citizens engaged in honest work; absence of taverns/gambling dens; a serene, orderly atmosphere.
When dharma prevails, society becomes free from vice, exploitation, and the suffering born of wrongdoing.
No named tīrtha; the verse functions as dharma-praise within the Dharmāraṇya framework.
None; it implicitly discourages pāpa such as gambling, theft, slander, and intoxication.
