Narrator (contextual Purāṇic narrator within Dharmāraṇya Khaṇḍa)
Tirtha: Śiva-kuṇḍa (Indreśvara precinct)
Type: kund
Scene: A group of women—some sorrowful, some stigmatized—approach the kuṇḍa near a Śiva shrine. They bathe, then offer bilva and lamps with intense concentration; their faces shift from grief to calm purity.
The tīrtha’s sanctity and Śiva’s presence are portrayed as universally purifying, transcending social stigma and personal misfortune.
The sacred kuṇḍa (pond) before Śiva in the Indreśvara/Jayaṃteśa context of Dharmāraṇya Khaṇḍa.
Bathe in the kuṇḍa and then worship Śiva with eka-citta (single-pointed devotion).
