ऋक्षशृङ्ग उवाच । पृच्छामि त्वां कथं को वा कुतस्त्वमिह चागतः । ब्रह्मक्षत्रविशां मध्ये को भवानुत शूद्रजः
ṛkṣaśṛṅga uvāca | pṛcchāmi tvāṃ kathaṃ ko vā kutastvamiha cāgataḥ | brahmakṣatraviśāṃ madhye ko bhavānuta śūdrajaḥ
ଋକ୍ଷଶୃଙ୍ଗ କହିଲେ: 'ମୁଁ ତୁମକୁ ପଚାରୁଛି—ତୁମେ କିଏ, କେଉଁଠାରୁ ଏବଂ କିପରି ଏଠାକୁ ଆସିଛ? ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ, କ୍ଷତ୍ରିୟ ଓ ବୈଶ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତୁମେ କିଏ, ଅଥବା ତୁମେ ଶୂଦ୍ର?'
