मार्कण्डेय उवाच । साधु प्रश्नो महाराज पृष्टो यो वै त्वयोत्तमः । पुराणे विस्तरो ह्यस्य न शक्यो हि मयाधुना
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | sādhu praśno mahārāja pṛṣṭo yo vai tvayottamaḥ | purāṇe vistaro hyasya na śakyo hi mayādhunā
ମାର୍କଣ୍ଡେୟ କହିଲେ—ହେ ମହାରାଜ, ତୁମେ ପଚାରିଥିବା ଏହି ଉତ୍ତମ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ। ଏହାର ବିସ୍ତୃତ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା ପୁରାଣରେ ଅଛି; ମୁଁ ଏବେ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିସ୍ତାରରେ କହିପାରିବି ନାହିଁ।
