satyavādī jitakrodhaḥ sarvabhūtahite rataḥ | sarvānkāmānavāpnoti rājannatraiva savarthā
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya (contextual continuation)
Type: tirtha
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: A pilgrim at a river ford refusing to quarrel, speaking gently, offering water/food to strangers and animals; the tīrtha landscape subtly ‘responds’ with calm light.
Tīrtha merit is amplified by inner dharma—truth, self-control, and compassion—rather than mere external travel.
Dāru-tīrtha (within the ongoing Dāru-tīrtha māhātmya).
No specific rite; it prescribes ethical disciplines: truthfulness, conquering anger, and working for the welfare of all beings.
