anumodito vā viprendra punātīti śrutaṃ mayā | yathā dharmaprasaṅge tu mune dharmo'pi jāyate
Yudhiṣṭhira
Tirtha: Kāverī-saṅgama (contextual)
Type: sangam
Listener: Sages (frame); within episode: Mārkaṇḍeya is addressed as 'viprendra'
Scene: A circle of seekers around a sage; one devotee, though not performing rites, expresses heartfelt approval as others do dharmic acts—symbolizing purification through anumodanā.
Even ‘anumodana’—joyful approval of dharma—has purifying power; keeping company with dharmic discourse generates dharma within.
Indirectly the Kāverī-saṅgama context, where dharma-related engagement is treated as especially fruitful.
A mental-ethical practice is highlighted: approving and rejoicing in righteous acts (anumodana) as a purifier.
