श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महीपाल सोमतीर्थमनुत्तमम् । चन्द्रहासेति विख्यातं सर्वदैवतपूजितम्

ଶ୍ରୀ ମାର୍କଣ୍ଡେୟ କହିଲେ—ତାପରେ, ହେ ମହୀପାଳ (ରାଜନ)! ଅନୁତ୍ତମ ସୋମତୀର୍ଥକୁ ଯିବା ଉଚିତ; ଯାହା ‘ଚନ୍ଦ୍ରହାସ’ ନାମେ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଏବଂ ସମସ୍ତ ଦେବତାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପୂଜିତ।
