ଶ୍ରୀ ମାର୍କଣ୍ଡେୟ କହିଲେ—ନର୍ମଦାର ଉତ୍ତର ତଟରେ ଏକ ପରମ ଶୋଭନ ତୀର୍ଥ ଅଛି। ତାହା ‘ଜୟବାରାହ’ ମାହାତ୍ମ୍ୟ, ଯାହା ସମସ୍ତ ପାପକୁ ନାଶ କରେ।
