Suta Goswami (narrating Vāyavīya teachings to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: rudram
Role: nurturing
Offering: dipa
It presents the disciplined sequence of Śaiva worship—maṇḍala-pūjā, kumbha-sthāpana, and homa—showing that approaching Śiva is done through purity, order, and guru-guided initiation, aligning the individual soul (paśu) toward the Lord (Pati).
The Lord is ritually invoked and ‘installed’ for worship through a consecrated support (kumbha) and the maṇḍala, reflecting Saguna upāsanā—approaching Śiva through sanctified forms and prescribed rites that prepare the mind for deeper realization.
It indicates a dīkṣā-style procedure: worship in a maṇḍala, kumbha consecration, homa, and the disciple’s formal entry and seating—emphasizing humility (bareheaded), readiness for mantra-discipline, and focused participation in Śaiva ritual.
