शिवस्य आश्वासनं हरि-ब्रह्मणोः तथा शङ्खचूडवृत्तान्तकथनम् / Śiva’s Reassurance to Hari and Brahmā; Account of Śaṅkhacūḍa’s Origin
tadā tvahaṃ bhavasteṣāṃ saṃtuṣṭaḥ proktavān vacaḥ | bhayaṃ tyajata he kṛṣṇa yūyaṃ sarve madājñayā
Lord Shiva (Bhava)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: General: assurance of Śiva’s rakṣaṇa (protection) and fearlessness (abhaya) granted to those who surrender; aligns with the fruit of darśana and śaraṇāgati at any Śiva-kṣetra.
Mantra:
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Śiva, as Bhava—the compassionate Lord—assures devotees to abandon fear, teaching that refuge in Pati (the Supreme Lord) transforms anxiety into steadiness through grace and divine protection.
The verse highlights Saguna Śiva’s personal, protective aspect: the worshipper relates to Śiva as a present Lord who commands, guides, and removes fear—an intimate devotional stance often centered on Liṅga-worship and surrender.
A practical takeaway is fearlessness through śaraṇāgati (surrender): mentally offer fear at Śiva’s feet, repeat the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and maintain a steady, obedient mind aligned with the Lord’s ājñā.
