Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Significance: Elevates śravaṇa–pāṭha–pāṭhana as a soteriological ‘pilgrimage of sound’: access to ‘paramā gati’ is democratized through devotional participation, not restricted by place.
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It declares that devotional engagement with Shiva’s Purana—reciting, facilitating recitation, listening, or facilitating listening—purifies the soul and leads to the highest goal, liberation under Shiva’s grace.
Hearing and reciting the Purana is treated as direct Saguna-Shiva worship through sacred sound and remembrance, complementing Linga-puja by cultivating bhakti and Shiva-centered contemplation.
Regular pāṭha (scriptural recitation) and śravaṇa (listening) as a daily vrata; it can be paired with Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple Linga-upacara to deepen devotion.
