Suta Goswami (traditional Purana colophon closure within Suta’s narration to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Sthala Purana: Colophon marker concluding the chapter within the Jalandhara-vadha upākhyāna; it situates the narrative frame (Sūta → Naimiṣāraṇya sages) rather than a specific shrine legend.
Significance: Textual tīrtha: śravaṇa/paṭhana of the Śiva Purāṇa section is traditionally held to confer puṇya and steadiness in bhakti.
This is a colophon verse marking the completion of a chapter, situating the teaching within the sacred textual hierarchy; it emphasizes that the Jalandhara episode is part of Shiva’s dharmic governance of the cosmos under Pati (Shiva) who ultimately subdues adharma.
While not prescribing a ritual directly, it anchors the narrative in the Rudra-saṃhitā where Saguna Shiva’s leelas (divine acts) reveal his protective role; such episodes support devotional contemplation of Shiva as the accessible Lord who upholds order.
Use this chapter-ending marker as a pause for svādhyāya (scriptural recitation) and bhakti: conclude reading with mental salutation to Shiva and remembrance of the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to internalize the teaching before continuing.
