ईशित्वं नैरृतं पत्रं वशित्वं वायुगोचरे । सर्वज्ञत्वं तथैशान्यं कर्णिका सोम उच्यते

Transliteration

īśitvaṃ nairṛtaṃ patraṃ vaśitvaṃ vāyugocare | sarvajñatvaṃ tathaiśānyaṃ karṇikā soma ucyate

Translation

ନୈଋତ୍ୟ ଦିଗର ପତ୍ର ‘ଈଶିତ୍ୱ’ (ପ୍ରଭୁତ୍ୱଶକ୍ତି)ର ସୂଚକ ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ। ବାୟୁ-ପ୍ରଦେଶରେ ‘ବଶିତ୍ୱ’ (ବଶୀକରଣଶକ୍ତି)। ଈଶାନ କୋଣରେ ‘ସର୍ବଜ୍ଞତ୍ୱ’। ମଧ୍ୟ କର୍ଣିକାକୁ ‘ସୋମ’ କୁହାଯାଏ।
