सुन्वन्ति सोमं रथिरासो अद्रयो निरस्य रसं गविषो दुहन्ति ते । दुहन्त्यूधरुपसेचनाय कं नरो हव्या न मर्जयन्त आसभिः ॥

sunvánti sómaṃ rathirā́so ádrayo nír asya rásaṃ gavíṣo duhanti té | duhánty ū́dhar upa-sécanāya káṃ naro havyā́ ná marjayanta ā́sabhiḥ ||

ରଥ ପରି ତ୍ୱରିତ ଗତିଶୀଳ ଅଦ୍ରି (ପିଷଣ-ପଥରମାନେ) ସୋମକୁ ପିଷନ୍ତି; ତାହାର ରସକୁ ବାହାର କରି, ଗବିଷ୍ (ଗୋଧନ/ପ୍ରକାଶମୟ ଧନ) ଖୋଜି ତାହାକୁ ଦୋହନ୍ତି। ଢାଳିବା ପାଇଁ ଉଧରକୁ ଦୋହନ୍ତି; ନରଃ (ବୀରମାନେ) ଆସଭିଃ—ମୁଖଦ୍ୱାରା ଯେପରି—ହବ୍ୟ (ଅର୍ପଣ)କୁ ମାର୍ଜୟନ୍ତି, ଦେବମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଯୋଗ୍ୟ କରନ୍ତି।
