प्र वो महे महि नमो भरध्वमाङ्गूष्यं शवसानाय साम । येना नः पूर्वे पितरः पदज्ञा अर्चन्तो अङ्गिरसो गा अविन्दन् ॥
prá vo mahe máhi námo bharadhvam āṅgū́ṣyaṃ śavasānā́ya sā́ma | yénā naḥ pū́rve pitáraḥ pada-jñā́ arcánto aṅgíraso gā́ avindan ||
ମହାନ—ମହିମାବାନ—ତାଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ ମହା ନମସ୍କାର ଅର୍ପଣ କର; ବଳବାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରେରିତ ସାମ-ଗାନ ଆଗେ ଆଣ। ଯାହାଦ୍ୱାରା ପଥଜ୍ଞ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ପିତୃମାନେ—ସ୍ତୁତିକାରୀ ଅଙ୍ଗିରସମାନେ—ଗୋମାନେ (ଗୌଃ, ପ୍ରକାଶ-କିରଣ) କୁ ଖୋଜି ପାଇଲେ; ଋତର ପଥରେ ଆମ ଯାତ୍ରା ପାଇଁ ଗୁପ୍ତରୁ ଜ୍ଞାନର କିରଣ ଉଦ୍ଘାଟିତ ହେଲା।
