Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
अद्य दीर्घस्य कालस्य भविष्याम्यहमाशिता।इदं हि मे महत्सत्त्वं चिरस्य वशमागतम्।।5.1.183।।
adya dīrghasya kālasya bhaviṣyāmy aham āśitā |
idaṃ hi me mahatsattvaṃ cirasya vaśam āgatam || 5.1.183 ||
ଆଜି ଦୀର୍ଘକାଳ ପରେ ମୁଁ ତୃପ୍ତ ହେବି ବୋଲି ଆଶା କରୁଛି; କାରଣ ଏହି ମହାସତ୍ତ୍ୱ ଶେଷରେ ମୋର ବଶକୁ ଆସିପଡ଼ିଛି।
It warns that adharma frames others as objects for consumption and control; dharma, by contrast, respects life and restrains appetite and violence.
Simhika, having noticed Hanuman, believes she can seize and devour him, and expresses her confidence in gaining control over him.
