I shall do exactly all that the venerable mother-in-law instructs me. I have heard it earlier and have fully understood as to how I should conduct myself towards my husband.
Dharma here is willing alignment with rightful instruction and established moral tradition: Sītā affirms that duty toward her husband is already understood and accepted.
Sītā responds to her mother-in-law’s counsel just as the family prepares for the consequences of Rāma’s exile.
Teachability and resolve: Sītā combines humility (accepting instruction) with firm clarity about her duty.
