na hyadattāṃ mahīṃ pitrā bharataḥ śāstumarhati |

tvayi vā putravadvastuṃ yadi jāto mahīpateḥ ||

ପିତା ଯେ ଭୂମି ଦାନ କରିନାହାନ୍ତି, ସେଇ ଭୂମିକୁ ଭରତ ଶାସନ କରିବାକୁ ଅର୍ହ ନୁହେଁ; ଏବଂ ସେ ଯଦି ସତ୍ୟରେ ମହୀପତିଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ଭାବେ ଜନ୍ମିଥାଏ, ହେ ଭୂପତେ, ତୁମ ପାଖରେ ପୁତ୍ରବତ୍ ବସିବା ମଧ୍ୟ ଉଚିତ ନୁହେଁ।
