Unspecified petitioner addressing Devī (Goddess)

Concept: Delay in seeking refuge risks repeated descent into suffering; earnest śaraṇāgati (taking shelter) is portrayed as the turning point.

Application: When patterns are harmful, ask for help early—spiritual (prayer, guru, community) and practical (repair, restitution); don’t normalize relapse into ‘daruna’ states.

Primary Rasa: karuna

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A trembling petitioner reaches out with both hands toward a towering compassionate Devī, while behind the petitioner yawns a dreadful abyss with faint silhouettes of torment—kept at bay by the Devī’s protective aura.
