Narada (addressing Devi)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"karuna","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_journey":"Moves from the pitiable consequence of sin (piśāca-state) to hope and relief through a remedial rite (piṇḍa-offering) that restores dignity and embodied well-being."}
It states that piṇḍadāna (a core śrāddha act) has the power to uplift beings who have fallen into a disturbed, piśāca-like condition due to pāpa, emphasizing ritual compassion and ancestral duty (pitṛ-dharma).
While primarily a dharma-ritual verse, it supports bhakti indirectly by teaching seva and responsibility toward beings in suffering; performing prescribed rites with श्रद्धा (faith) aligns the devotee with divine order and mercy.
It highlights Kalpa (ritual procedure) through the specific act of piṇḍa-pradāna within śrāddha/pitṛ-kārya, indicating that correct performance of rites is considered an effective remedial dharmic practice.
