Śāpaprāpti (Receiving a Curse) — Mohinī Narrative
हत्यायुतं भर्तृवधो निरर्थकमेतत्समं विप्रवरैः पुराकृतम् । न चापि चास्या भवतीह शुद्धिः समिद्भवह्नौ पतनेऽपि देवाः ॥ ५९ ॥
hatyāyutaṃ bhartṛvadho nirarthakametatsamaṃ vipravaraiḥ purākṛtam | na cāpi cāsyā bhavatīha śuddhiḥ samidbhavahnau patane'pi devāḥ || 59 ||
ପତିହତ୍ୟା ଦଶହଜାର ହତ୍ୟା ସମାନ, ସର୍ବଥା ବିନାଶକର କର୍ମ— ଏହା ପୂର୍ବେ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣମାନେ ଘୋଷଣା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଏମିତି ନାରୀକୁ ଏଠାରେ ଶୁଦ୍ଧି ନାହିଁ; ସମିଧାରେ ପ୍ରଜ୍ୱଳିତ ଅଗ୍ନିରେ ପଡ଼ିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଦେବମାନେ ତାହାକୁ ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ଭାବେ ମାନନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ।
