The Vision of Mohinī (मोहिनी-दर्शनम्)

Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights how a seeker’s progress can stall when curiosity and outward scanning replace decisive movement on the true path; the mind keeps seeing only surrounding distractions rather than the higher goal.
Bhakti advances through steady orientation toward the chosen refuge (often Vishnu) rather than constant checking of external options; the verse cautions against wavering attention that keeps one absorbed in “what is around” instead of “whom to reach.”
The verse implicitly stresses mārga-niścaya (clarity of method): like Vyākaraṇa demands correct derivation and steps, spiritual practice also requires a definite procedure rather than aimless searching driven by mere curiosity.
