द्विगुणेष्टहृतं रूपं श्रेष्टं प्राग्रूपकं परम् । वर्गयोगांतरे व्येके राश्योर्वर्गोस्त एतयोः ॥ ३३ ॥

Transliteration

dviguṇeṣṭahṛtaṃ rūpaṃ śreṣṭaṃ prāgrūpakaṃ param | vargayogāṃtare vyeke rāśyorvargosta etayoḥ || 33 ||

Translation

ଇଷ୍ଟ ରାଶିଦ୍ୱାରା ଭାଗ କରି ପାଇଥିବା ରୂପକୁ ଦ୍ୱିଗୁଣ କରାଯାଏ—ଏହାକୁ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଓ ପରମ ‘ପ୍ରାଗ୍ରୂପକ’ (ପୂର୍ବରୂପ) ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଇଛି। ବର୍ଗ-ଯୋଗ ପଦ୍ଧତିରେ କେହି କେହି କହନ୍ତି, ଏହି ଦୁଇ ରାଶିର ବର୍ଗଫଳ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ ଭାବେ ଧରିବା ଉଚିତ।
