द्वितीया च चतुर्थी स्याञ्चेष्टायां गतिकर्मणि । अप्राणिषु विभक्ती द्वे मन्यकर्मण्यनादरे ॥ १२ ॥
dvitīyā ca caturthī syāñceṣṭāyāṃ gatikarmaṇi | aprāṇiṣu vibhaktī dve manyakarmaṇyanādare || 12 ||
ଚେଷ୍ଟା (ପ୍ରୟାସ) ଭାବରେ ଏବଂ ଗତି/କର୍ମବାଚକ କ୍ରିୟାରେ ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟା ଓ ଚତୁର୍ଥୀ—ଦୁହେଁ ବିଭକ୍ତି ହୋଇପାରେ। ଅପ୍ରାଣୀ (ନିର୍ଜୀବ) ବସ୍ତୁରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ଦୁଇ ବିଭକ୍ତି ପ୍ରୟୋଗ ହୁଏ; ବିଶେଷତଃ ‘ମନ୍ୟ’ (ମନେ କରିବା) କର୍ମରେ ଏବଂ ଅନାଦର (ଉପେକ୍ଷା) ଅର୍ଥରେ।
