vīkṣantī sā tato 'paśyad bhartṛ-daṇḍaṃ jugupsitam ||

Translation

ସେ ଚାରିପାଖ ଦେଖି ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କମ୍ପିତ ହେଲେ—ବିସ୍ମିତ, ଦୀନ, ପତି ଓ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କ ବିପତ୍ତିରେ ପୀଡିତ। ତାପରେ ସେ ପତିଙ୍କର ସେଇ ଘୃଣିତ ଦଣ୍ଡ (ତାଙ୍କ ଅବନତ ଭୂମିକାର ଚିହ୍ନ) ଦେଖିଲେ।
