छायासंज्ञा त्वपत्येषु यथा स्वेष्वतिवत्सला ।
तथा न संज्ञाकन्यायां पुत्रयोश्चान्ववर्तत ॥
chāyāsaṃjñā tv apatyeṣu yathā sveṣv ativatsalā /
tathā na saṃjñākanyāyāṃ putrayoś cānvavartata
ଛାୟା—ସଂଜ୍ଞା ବୋଲି ଡାକାଯାଉଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ—ନିଜ ସନ୍ତାନମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ସ୍ନେହଶୀଳା ଥିଲା; କିନ୍ତୁ ସଂଜ୍ଞାର କନ୍ୟା ଓ ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ପୁତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ସେହିପରି ସ୍ନେହ ଦେଖାଇଲା ନାହିଁ।
