कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

क्षीणे कलियुगे चैव प्रवर्तेत कृतं युगम् । एषा द्वादशसाहस्त्री युगाख्या परिकीर्तिता,कलियुगके क्षीण हो जानेपर पुनः सत्ययुगका आरम्भ होता है। इस तरह बारह हजार दिव्य वर्षोकी एक चतुर्युगी बतायी गयी है
kṣīṇe kaliyuge caiva pravarteta kṛtaṃ yugam | eṣā dvādaśasāhastrī yugākhyā parikīrtitā ||
କଳିଯୁଗ କ୍ଷୀଣ ହୋଇ ସମାପ୍ତ ହେଲେ ପୁନଃ କୃତ (ସତ୍ୟ) ଯୁଗ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତେ। ଏହିପରି ‘ବାରହଜାର’ (ଦିବ୍ୟ ବର୍ଷ) ନାମକ ଯୁଗଚକ୍ର—ଚତୁର୍ଯୁଗୀ—ପରିକୀର୍ତ୍ତିତ।
